Four longtime customers opt to remain with Dynix vision

Dynix is keeping several more of its library customers in the family: Glendale Public Library (GPL), AZ, a decade-long customer, is upgrading from its existing Dynix solution to Horizon. Dynix is especially pleased with the decision, as the library had issued an RFP and accepted bids from other vendors but decided to stay with Horizon. GPL comprises a main library and two branches, with a third branch planned for spring 2007. The collection includes more than 600,000 books, magazines, multimedia, and electronic reference databases.

Warren County Library (Blairstown, NJ), Orcas Island Library District (Eastsound, WA), and New Albany-Floyd County Public Library (New Albany, IN) also are opting to migrate to the Horizon Information Management System. A Dynix customer since 1995,Warren County Library has a collection of 171,000 items and circulates nearly 508,000 items each year. The library serves 40,000 full-time residents. Orcas Island Library District serves 4500 full-time residents with a collection of 42,000, circulating approximately 94,000 items on an annual basis. The library has been a Dynix customer for the past 12 years. New Albany-Floyd County Public Library, a Dynix customer since 1986, has a collection approaching 280,000, maintains an annual circulation of 460,000, and serves a population of 71,000.
